ABOUT
Founded in 2019 by Kirk Nelson, La Loma began as a gallery in his home off La Loma Road. In 2021, the gallery expanded into a commercial space, carrying its original spirit into a more formal setting.
La Loma has cultivated an artist community, building long-term relationships with established and mid-career artists across multiple shows, while continually opening the program to new voices. The curatorial vision spans idea-driven exhibitions that probe the relationship between objects and meaning, and work that is painterly, handmade, and alive to humor, domesticity, materiality, and the natural world.
